FEAR Expansions Far Better than either sequel...

Is it just me, or were the FEAR expansions a lot better than both sequels? Scarier... better graphics (relatively)... better gameplay... etc.

imo its like that the original fear beat fear expansions and fear 2 and 3 also, no match

Plus the original F.E.A.R was a PC exclusive, after that day 1 ported it to xbox, but basically they focused on the PC part of the game, wich they made awesome.. thats the problem now, multiplatform all at the same time = more $$$$$

Seriously... they're fun, but they're not fear. monolith didn't care for them, most people can poke holes the size of greyhound busses in the plotholes and inconsistencies, ... so no. It's just you.

Well to be fair, the OP asked about everything BUT the story, i.e., "Scarier... better graphics (relatively)... better gameplay... etc. "

I wouldn't say EP and PM were "better" in those respects, but at least just as good. I especially thought the part where Holliday bought the farm in EP was the single most freakiest game moment I've ever had.

FEAR 2's "expansion" (more like a note scribbled in the margin. ), "Reborn", wasn't particularly good, IMO.

You guys are kidding me right? F3AR scared you? FEAR 2? Okay, so FEAR 2 had it's moments (school, anyone?) But FEAR: Extraction Point was terrifying; and it had FEAR 1 gameplay.

Multiplatforming is out of control now to the extent that it affects the quality of the product. A chain is only as strong as its weakest link is very applicable when porting.

Spending the extra time and money to make each game separately is the only way to ensure top quality, something that doesn't concern many people in the good old USA as much as just getting it done.
