Question Where is my Library?

I can't find my library.
Does anyone know how I can get to it please?

It shows up on my laptop, but here on my desktop PC I have no idea of how to access it because I'm not logged in very often so I suppose it could be said that I'm pretty new to Steam.

Thanks a lot.
xx

Right-click the steam icon in your system icon tray. Click "Library".

Yeah?

Are you sure you're logged into the same account you purchased the games with? I've seen a number of these threads where they were simply logged into a different account (though I can't fathom why they would have two).

Tried that already but apparently it 'must be installed into an empty folder'.
That's what it says when I try to install.
I wondered if that was the reason the other day...that it just wasn't installed!

When I explore my program list in C: I can see a folder full of Steam files so I know I've installed it at some point in the past.

However Steam isn't showing up in my Start menu/program list, nor is it showing up anywhere that I can un-install it from to start from scratch such as Control panel or CCleaner.

So what to do next...do I just delete everything in the folder and then do the same in a regedit search? or what?

Then I could do a clean install of the program, but quite what on earth could have happened to it on this PC is beyond me!

I only have one a/c with Steam.

Although I have been playing Portal 2 online using my PS3.
So maybe it isn't recognising me, but...if that were the case then I wouldn't be able to access my a/c on my laptop and I can!

Delete the folder and do a registry clean up with CCleaner.

Then install Steam.

Yes, that has worked.
Although I couldn't delete the folder at all so I deleted the contents instead.

After the clean-up I was still being told that the folder wasn't empty (I suppose I should have re-started but there was no time for that as I have housework to do and it's also washing day! lol)
Anyhow, I re-named the folder it wanted to install into and hey-ho Bob's your Uncle!

I like to thank everyone for their input, you are all great.
I hadn't expected to find anyone around this early in the day.

My problem is solved and I can now play tonight on a bigger screen and find what I can't find on the lappie.
I like hidden object games...a bit girly I suppose, but they're nice for a change.

Thanks again,
Kate.
