Black Textures In Gmod 11
Okay, so I've got an old MacBook 1st gen running Boot Camp with a GMA 950 graphics card with a 2GHz Core Duo and 2GB RAM, and I installed Gmod 11 and it's working fine until I want to use certain items, (Specific Vehicles, .357 Magnum,) but when I create them there's sort of a weird black shadow texture on the props. Any idea of what I can do?
(P.S. please don't just be like Oh your computer sucks get a newer one, etc, because that really doesn't help me at all) |

But...What if the reason actually is, that your macbook is too weak to handle gmod?
GMA 950 goes beyond the minimum gpu-requirement. (for example mimimum pixel shader requirement is 2, which that gpu doesnt have.) In other words: You cant play gmod properly (barely at all) on that maccie, sorry. Last edited by michael89: 06-28-2011 at 02:29 PM. |

Sorry for reviving an old thread, Lol but I've fixed my problem by typing "-dxlevel 81" in the "Set Launch Options" this might help some people who have as bad graphics cards as me.
