Well, this update REALLY took an axe to my graphics drivers.

After not even 20 minutes of play, I turned down my anti-aliasing from 16x and 8x, to 8x and 4x, respectively.

The game ran faster.... until it stated having screen pauses...

Then rainbows all over the place...

and finally, crashing my graphics driver. Several frozen pixels, graphical freakouts, and generally a lot of problems.

I had to restart to fix it.

(And no, I have no screenshots, or the error box that popped up, and there's NO WAY my graphics card melted.)

Wow, you have the desktop version of my card.

Hate to say, but it must be something in your configuration. Like I said, I'm running it at maxed settings, on the laptop version of your card, and it ran perfectly.

Man. That sucks.

I know that KF is a pretty gfx intensive game, but not THAT much so.

I wouldn't know where to start changing settings.

Actually, UE 2.5, so KF leans more on CPU than GPU.

OOh this might explain it. I have nearly the same time of GPU as the guy having the problem, but I'm running a Core i7.

Guy having the problem, what kind of CPU do you have?

Does anybody know my card (listed earlier in the topic) and what my issue might be? I have 4 gigs of ram, and i5 processor (M430@2.27 GHz)

It's a laptop, I might add

You have a better video card that I do, but I have a better CPU.

Like the volunteer mod said earlier, KF relies more on CPU than GPU. I'm not sure what settings affect CPU usage.

Well, I did use to work tech support for Dell. Lots of practice fixing broken computers remotely.

You try turning EVERYTHING down all the way? Does that affect the problem any?

Sounds like your GPU might be going belly up, sad to say. You could try reseating it?
