Issues with JC2

So I started the game through Steam even though the game never appeared to actually install. During the opening scene, the sound and video were not running at the same rate. Also it sounded like the game was being played in the background. During this scene, I got the first achievement for causing chaos which seemed weird. The game appeared to play better after the opening scene. However, it appeared laggy at times. Any ideas on what the problem might be? I am fairly sure my computer can handle the game at least on the lower settings.

looks like you do not have a pc good enough to play modern games. if you cannot list your specs though then nobody can give you any accurate advice.

The computer I am using is as follows:

ASUS UL80VT series laptop
Processor: Intel SU7300 @ 1.30GHz
RAM: 4GB
Graphics: NVidia G210M Graphics with 512MB DDR3 + Intel GMA 4500MHD (Switchable VGA)
OS: Windows 7 (64 bit)

Though obviously not actually a gaming rig, I have never had issues running anything previously.

well your pc is very very slow for most modern games. your cpu is about like an old 3800 X2 which in most cases, including Just Cause 2, does not even meet the minimum requirements to play. your g210 gpu with just 16sp is absolutely abysmal for modern games and again does not meet the minimum requirements just to play Just Cause 2 or hardly any other modern game. really you should have checked the requirements first.

Your laptop cannot play this game because your laptop was designed to maximize battery life with low performance.

After changing some of the options (lowering textures, etc), it seems to work fine during gameplay. I have not tested it during a cutscene yet.

were you actually running settings above low with your setup? heck even on all low, it will not be what most normal people call playable.

Originally, I was running whatever the default was. After changing the settings, it runs pretty normally I believe. I can compare it to the console versions and it is running similarly.
