Game will not login

Bought the game and for over 24 hours now all it does is TRY to login....

Whats up with that???

Can I get my money back since it does not login?

Until I can login there is NO single offline mode

Game still will not login for me...I am aware of your downtime or issues...but i have over a hour now of playtime, according to steam, yet I have been at the login screen...

i have yet to login to the game even once

For me this is not fixed yet

Hi,

Your issue seems to be unrelated to our server outage. I am sorry you have not be able to log into the game. Are you using a firewall that is blocking traffic over port 80?

Does the game crash when you try to log in or does it just constantly try to log in?

Could you please email your console.log file to us at PR@manicgamestudios.com

You can find this file in program files -> steam -> steamapps -> common -> Critical Mass

I have no firewall and all other steam games run ok and I have many.

I will uninstall the game and re-install it.

My drivers and computer give me zero issues with games such as RIFT, Starcraft II, Portal 2, and many others run great. I always keep my drivers up to date. I do however still run windows XP professional w/sp3.

I am frustrated and most likely will just uninstall the game if it cannot be resolved with a re-install.

I use vent daily also and have no internet connection issues or firewall ports blocked. If port 80 was blocked i wouldn't see the net....

After two days of staring at the login screen, for over a hour total time, I think I have been patient.

uninstalled and re-installed and game still just sits at the login screen... no it does not crash it just sits there and keeps saying logging in.

Now I uninstalled via steam, went to windows explorer and removed the directory completely from the common folder in steam.

Re-installed game...still sits at login screen, in top right it says im logged in as shosyn though, what ever that is...but it definitely is not logging in at all.

I also have to kill the process via task manager as it just sits at that screen trying to login.

ONE TIME during the many times I have tried it went to another screen that told that I cannot play the OFFLINE mode until I login to the server at least once.

This should be like pop-cap games where once I BUY IT and I am "not tethered" to STEAM and forced to be on steam to even play this game.

You should remove the SERVER LOGIN Part... from being MANDATORY... if i want to login to play against players I would like that choice...

As of know, three days after purchase I have NOTHING.. I will send the console.log another day... this is just to much hassle for such a SIMPLE game. Wasted my afternoon and evening on 4th of July to boot trying to make this work.

Hi,

After some further investigation it would seem that you might be trying to run the game in Steam Offline Mode.

If this is the case it could have something to do with the problem you are experiencing. We have tried to help you as best we can but if you do not provide us with the information we need to fix the problem there isn't much we can do to help.

If you are running steam in offline mode please try switching to online mode to see if this resolves the problem.

I am not in offline mode.

I switched to offline mode and then back to online mode. This made no difference. I am still just seeing the login screen saying logging in...

No i did not try to login in offline mode at all.

This seems to be an issue for multiple gamers.
Played the game once today without any problems.

Now the game crashes (no response in windows) or keeps failing at the login screen.

No issue with firewall, Port 80 etc. Offlinemode works, but I prefer not to play in offline mode.

We are having an issue with the server right now. It is being fixed as we speak shouldn't be down for more than a few minutes. It's a result of the daily deal.

I have just bought Critical Mass in the Daily Deal. It's really fun as long as I'm connected. The game seems to think I'm not connected and keeps trying to reconnect (at random moments). Sometimes it does connect, but mostly it keeps trying to reconnect (been doing so for over 15 minutes now).

So, it's taking a little longer than a few minutes I guess?

Same issue here. Just a suggestion - maybe single player should at least be accessible when the servers are down?
