Unhappy

I'm having the same problem, I've opened ports 28960 which I've read have to be open, but still nothing... All the threads I've searched haven't had any answers that worked. I'm stuck.

Same happening on my end guys, the only way i have been able to play is to select the favourites at the top and manually add an ip address of a server, these can be found on www.gametracker.com, i have added 5 servers as favourites and they work fine for me

I had read that that works, but I would much rather the ease of actually having them come up in the server browser.

This is due to an error with the CoD4 masterserver and the servercache.dat.

Here you have one that works (mine), replace the old one in C:/SteamPath/steamapps/common/Call of Duty 4/

It works! Haha, Star Wars Mod is awesome... But unfortunately once the game was over, no servers again. But once I put your file in again it worked. Is it ok to have the file as read only?

If you set it to read only, you will not be able to get new servers into the server list, only refresh the ones you already got.

Thats a problem with Punkbuster. It flags the Steam InGameCommunity Overlay as a cheat, because this is the way most cheats work. Disabling Steam InGame Community should fix the problem.

-Open Steam
-Goto Library
-Right-click on CoD4
-Goto Properties
-Uncheck Enable Steam In-Game Community

I'm getting booted for the above reason but the steam overlay is off

UPDATE: It's EVGA Precison that PB doesnt like. Punkbuster is a useless and dated POS that causes more problems than it has ever solved. I wish companies would stop giving Evenbalance money so that they would just go away already.
