I have removed my save files and yet it keeps asking me to select an option for the new scoring system. Nothing works except for the right mouse button, which exits the game.

Did you use the pref command to reset your cloud save game?

This: game->steamRemoteStorage.saveExists() = true
means it's still there.

I don't know if anyone else is having this problem or not but when I play BH Ultra it doesn't save any of my progress. Every time I have to tell it to redo my stats and it doesn't keep any of my song stats or perks. It's acting like I just installed the game for the first time even though it has my music indexed already. I heard it might have something to do with Windows 7 but if anyone can help it would be much appreciated.

Is it me, or when I hit the "S" key when I'm looking through music, the cursor jumps in a weird way?

When I mean using the "S" key, I mean using it was the "Down" button for the game.

Hi! I need help figuring why I can't play ultra but can play classic just fine. Ultra tries to launch but it never does. While launching, it will show that I am "in game" for like three secs. and then goes back to "online" on my status I have tried all the possible fixes in this thread like diasabling the steam overlay, verify cache, reintalling, set up custom rez etc. I'm not getting any error message even if I run it directly from the steamapps folder. I also set up "WriteDebug;" in the preftxt file but its not giving me any debug text either in the beat hazard folder or the one in documents. I'm using winxp sp3 and have an ati5670 and yes i have the latest video drivers and directx. Any help would be appreciated.

Have you checked for the debugMsg.txt in the steam apps/BH folder? This is where it gets written (not where the pref file is)

If there's no file then it must be crashing very early on.

Yes, both the folder in steam apps beat hazard folder and the one in documents doesn't have any debug text in it.

No fix yet? Looks like I'm stuck playing classic

Finally got it to work. Anyone who's having the same issue and has a multi core proc should try and disable 2 cores from the bios. I have a phenom II x6 1055t.

As squall_leonhart said, the xbox controller detection is faulty. On Classic, the X360 controller gets detected, while on Ultra it won't.

I bought a wireless reciever for my XboX controller and installed the drivers on my laptop. I tried it with many different steam games and there are no issues at all. But in Beat Hazard the controller shuts of during play every 5 seconds. (note: only while playing, not while browsing the menu's)

Is this a (common) problem ? How can I fix it ?

I was playing an online game (head 2 head) 10 mins ago and i experienced two minor bugs i thought i might as well make a post about. The first one was ingame, where what looked like a segment from a snake was spinning around itself in the same spot, you were unable to kill it and if you flew into it you would die.
After said game, which was on internet radio, i played a song on standard singleplayer and when it started, the song suddenly changed name to the song that was last played on that radio. Even after the game the song was still named wrong, but after i indexed my music library it was named correct again. Still pretty confusing tho..

Seriously, any help on my problem? At all? The game is essentially unplayable now for me. I'm in my song list for all but a few seconds, and I get "BeatHazard.exe has stopped working". I can't even scroll through my music selection, let alone pick a damned song a to play. PLEASE, can anyone help me?!?! I miss this game so much.....
