Differences between Armored Princess and Crossworlds expansion campaign

I already finished Legend and Armored Princess and then bought Crossworlds during the recent sale. The two mini-campaigns were just decent and took me about 10 hours.

I was hoping I could continue my previous AP game with the expansion (Orcs on the March) content, but apparently I have to start over again from the beginning. It seems misleading that Crossworlds requires AP and is advertised as an "expansion" if you have to start over, but that's another story.

To those of you who played the original AP and Orcs on the March, how much is different? Steam says I played AP for 90 hours, and I'm not going to play again if it's 95% the same.
