Mouse Pointer Missing in Left 4 Dead... help?

Ok so everything was fine for a long time and now suddenly the mouse pointer is missing when i'm in the game....

I know how some ppl say make sure the Mouse Trail and Magnifier are off... and they always are. I've never turned them on.

did I like accidently press something in the game that caused this or is it something else? Because everything else in the game works very well... I'm so confused >.<

Do you speak about the aimcross?

Btw, you should write-protect your config.cfg file after you made all settings. If you come across a moded server he can not change settings. For example, a realism server changed the aimcross to be invisible.

In your config.cfg is a setting for that. 0 means off, 1 means enabled. Or you could erase the config.cfg from left4dead. But you have to make all settings again in this case (if its not restored by the cloud).

Dont delete the l4d folder as suggested above! Its just a setting in the little config file.
