+Restored unused OST music, thanks Rik Schaffer, SteveMV and Kendrel.
+Enabled you to keep Jack's .38 pistol and restored bisexual Phil.
+Added Humanity loss for sending Copper to Nines and no-stake option.
+Tried to fix possible name plate bug and updated missing fists fix.
Fixed lost Mercurio email and removed extra Gargoyle XP from basic.
Added dumpster downtown to cover map hole and made Phil stay longer.
Corrected Imalia only handing out one camera and fixed missing pier music.
Added Malkavian whispers transcript to Extras, thanks to an unknown.
Fixed Nosferatu and Malkavian detection script of King's Way level.
Replaced ancient Python 2.1 version with 2.7.2, thanks ColonelAlias.
Fixed spawning of Hallowbrook enemies and more minor level details.


This patch features two important things besides the usual stuff:

1) The Python version was updated to fix issues people have when
they use Python elsewhere and to make life easier for modders.
So if you encounter any new Python bugs, please give me feedback!

2) Five unused Bloodlines soundtracks were added that were released
to the public by the composer Rik Schaffer, more details included
in the text file by SteveMV. I put them in levels that featured old
multiple times used tracks, but if you think they would fit better
in other maps, please give me feedback and explain your suggestions.


It seems the new Python version in the 7.6 patch has issues with
Windows 7 64 bit. I restored the old one Python version, the new
fixed patch 7.6b is available from The Patches Scrolls already.

Great! Thanks for this! I'm having a problem, though. When I go to start the game, my screen goes black for a few seconds and then I get kicked back to desktop. I haven't searched the forums yet. I'll do that now. Saw you just posted this so I thought I'd throw this up, though. Windows 7. Ran the resolution patches, but that didn't help. The 64 patch is asking to locate a file, but I can't find it in the steam directory....

What kind of system do you have, what graphics card?

The 64 patch is asking to locate a file, but I can't find it in the steam directory....

This is only necessary if you can't install the game.

Hi Wesp,

Thanks for the reply and your thoughts. Below are my specs. I saw in the readme file that I should run the vanilla game prior to applying the patch, so I did. I also did a reinstall and validated my steam files. Well, at first I got the memory error, so I lowered my available memory under 2gb in msconfig. Then I got the vampire.exe error, so I applied the patch. Now I get the black screen and then boot to desktop (same as if I just applied the patch directly).

Thanks again! Also, I did turn off auto update and Steam community in game, although auto-update keeps turning itself back on.

I have the same problem. Applied patch after fresh steam install. My specs are 2.4ghz Core2Duo Intel, Nvidia GTX 260 (latest drivers), 4GB ram.

I have the same problem as Kohlstream and Stormseye.

Game kicks me back to desktop after screen gets black for 2 seconds, when I launch it.

I have GTX560Ti, Win7 64, all updates/directx/c++/drivers updated.
Game is retail with 7.6 applied.

Wonder what causes this.

Hm, can all three of you test if this crash happens without the patch installed as well? If it does not, the new Python version may be incompatible with Windows 7. In that case delete in the bin folder vampire_python21.dll, rename vampire_python21.dll.12 to vampire_python21.dll and try again...

Update: This is indeed an error caused by the installer and the new Python version. So either do the above or wait until a corrected installer is released which should be later today.

Without the patch, I got the memory=15MB error even before any blackscreen.

Glad you found a solution. Please post here when the updated version will be up, I will retry tomorrow.

IMPORTANT UPDATE: There is a problem with the 7.6 installer! Until the version
on The Patches Scrolls has been updated, use the following direct download:

So do i just run the new patch and then the game should work? or are there any extra steps

I got windows 64 so the game didn't work (15mb memory error), and after installing 7.6 i got another error (engine dll error), i have to redownload the game from steam now because my files got missed up and download the updated 7.6 and try again

Yes. I don't think the engine.dll error is connected and there should be no need to download the whole game again.

The 7.6 installer issue has been fixed, so please use the updated 7.6a version from The Patches Scrolls.
