Strafe stuttering

Hi, bought Fallout 3 one of the summer camp days and tried it here the other day. The graphics are good,.. when im standing still. But im experiencing really annoying stuttering and slow downs when im moving sideways/strafing... at the same time when walking the wastelands theres something wrong with the sun or something cos i get very visible and sudden color changes depending which way i look. The strafe stuttering is killing me slowly. Nothing is more annoying then when stuff ALMOST works. Ive tried every setting from low to ultra, v sync on and off.

It might be worth mentioning that i have some sort of weird graphic problem in quite a few games.

AMD Radeon HD 6800 Series (Crossfire)
Processor: AMD Phenom(tm) II X4 965 Processor (4 CPUs), ~3.4GHz
Memory: 8192MB RAM
Win 7 64

Im really hoping for a solution but ive spent nearly 20 hours googling these problems over the past weeks so i have no hopes.
