will having cheat engine open but not doing anything get you vac banned?

Will having cheat engine open but not attached to TF2 get me vac banned? My girl accidentally left it open attached to a different game (one of her stupid browser based flash games. g-----n facebook games.), and I launched tf2 without realizing she had it open. I feel so stupid for letting her install something like that on our computer now. I didn't use cheat engine to do anything in tf2, but, there seems to be a mixed opinion on the internet whether just having cheat engine running is enough to get you banned. I'm just worried literally sick over this.

i would not leave any cheat program open while in a vac protected game..

that is the safest way to be.

Yes.

Don't even try it.

It's a memory editor i think and so will flag up and get you VAC banned.

You'll be fine so long as it wasn't attached to your game.

If it wasn't attached to the game I don't believe you will be banned.

You said you cheated, in Killing Floor, which uses VAC.

You seem to mistake VAC for an effective anticheat.

Having Cheat Engine running in background while playing VAC protected games WILL get you VAC banned.
