Validation 100% complete. Team Fortress 2

The validation window for Team Fortress 2 just stays there at 100% with no change or the window closing. I̶t̶ ̶w̶o̶r̶k̶s̶ ̶i̶f̶ ̶I̶ ̶j̶u̶s̶t̶ ̶c̶a̶n̶c̶e̶l̶ ̶i̶t̶ ̶a̶n̶d̶ ̶p̶l̶a̶y̶,̶ ̶b̶u̶t̶ it is quite irritating. Is there a fix?

It no longer plays at all.

this was happening to me yesterday. nothing short of completely reinstalling everything in the steamapps folder worked. (although, i only had tf2 files, so i'd just try those)

nevermind, it started happening again a bit after i posted this and tf2 had been randomly quitting and giving me a headache all day. gonna reinstall steam from scratch and see what happens.

This happens to me all the time, and with me getting data corruption all the time it is very annoying.

Anyone found a fix for it ?
(reinstalling steam/games and removing steamapps doesnt work)

If you leave it going for around 5 ~ 15 minutes it does finish.

Some times happens to me, I make a manual validation, and even if it stuck a 100% if i close it after it doesn't bother me anymore.
