What the hell is going on with my ping?

Searching for servers and I usually get 20's-30's and maybe a few at 60's. Today the lowest are 110's and I got kicked from a server after my ping went over 300.

If you're on unsecured WiFi, someone might be using it without your knowledge. If you're using cable (like Comcast), someone in your neighborhood might be torrenting something. Or it could be a family member, or a virus, or it just could be a bad day for your internet connection.

There are a million possible reasons. Don't worry about it unless it happens for longer than a day.
