yeah I'm so excited right now I just got a BF3 Alpha invite(it's downloading as i'm typing this) and yes I live in the US so for those posting threads worrying about if all the invites go to Europe I just want to tell you it IS possible and there IS hope you could get invited. the only BF games i own are BFBC2 and BF2 with the expansions and it says my vet status is 1. so yeah there are people more qualified than me to get it but when you get this lucky you don't question it

. I don't mean to brag, I just want other Americans to know that you're not getting completely ripped off on the Alpha. I hope this raises your morale and let's you know not to give up hope. Hopefully I'll see you on the battlefield. good luck to all who are anticipating the game as much as I am

Boo!!! Mine is only DLing at 650 kb/sec. Another 1.5 hours to go. Darn you Roadrunner Cable internet!!!!

steam servers are faster at peak times than this crap and I doubt that many players are downloading, ea should be able to handle this, its not that much of a load.

it is if it's not priority traffic, all the Yanks are in their on peak time being between 19:30-22:30 so they're probably all downloading it at the same time, as these forums erupted with cries of "i got in" i can imagine it's more then you think for some thing which is low priority traffic on EAs servers.

i never had a problem in the UK are you all being throttled?

Steam servers were faster than this during the summer sale, enough said.
