Any other games like S.T.A.L.K.E.R.?

Hi,

I've really enjoyed Stalker CoP.

I'm wondering if there are any other games similar to Stalker Cop?

I also like borderlands, I guess it has something to do with both of them being that I collect items, have an actual inventory (compared to FPS where I only have 2 guns and nothing else to really find).

Is there other games that fit the bill of what I like?

Closest I can think of is Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas.

Both have open-world gameplay that lets you do whatever you want in whatever order you want. Both also have an inventory and good loot systems. Also, both games are HEAVILY moddable, so if you don't like something, you can mod it to your personal preference . However, neither are as gritty as STALKER though, just a heads up.

Yup, thanks I've got all the Fallout 3 and expanssions and DLC for it and enjoyed it very much. Maybe not enough to play it through more than once though.

Then you should keep FNV on your list. It's got a deeper story and more impactful choices than FO3, but it's also much, much buggier. I'm an old Fallout fan, so I like FNV much better .

Metro 2033 is sort-of like S.T.A.L.K.E.R. with the atmosphere, but it doesn't exactly have an open world.

If you want to know the exact plot of the series, then you should play them in these order

Not really, CS is more of a prequel, it spoils a lot of the stuff in SoC.

RAGE will be an open world shooter, and there are linear interiors just like in STALKER. Just two months and a few days!

Like 2033, it has the nice gun play and desolate environments, but nothing of STALKER's exploring/survivalist elements. Sadly, although the popularity of Fallout 3 & NV demonstrate there's a market for it, developers just don't seem interested in marrying FPS, survival and exploration elements of games together. I still think ShoC is the best to this day.

The Half-Life series is linear, but it's extremely well-done and has a good sci-fi shooter feel to it.

Same here, OP, its best if you play Clear Sky with the complete mod, because no matter what system you have its glitchy as ♥♥♥♥, SoC has an even better atmosphere and any other games I could think of like STALKER is FO3, but I don't like the clunky shooter mechanics, but check out the STALKER mods, there are some great ones out there.
