Steam messages makes my music play quiet

When im listening to music and someone messages me through Steam it makes my music go low and sometimes doesnt even go back up to normal volume after? really annoying and help?

Yeah you got that too???? Me too.

Is there any fix? Happens in Youtube and AIMP.

It's not a problem with Steam, it's a feature of Windows 7.

Ahh ok thanks just found it weird i only noticed after a Steam update. Sorted now

Thanks for the fix neko, that was getting on my nerves... I like that feature when I talk on my mic, but not every time someone comes online or sends a message.. especially if the sound wont return to normal levels
