Steam Guard Code

Hello,

First of all, I'm writing this for my friend because he has a problem logging in with his Steam account. The problem is, that four weeks ago his Hotmail is blocked without any reason. He contacted the Hotmail Support (as crappy as that support is) but they don't respond to him.

When you log in with your Steam account on an other computer or a new Windows, you will be asked for a code you received by e-mail. And take a guess....he probably has that e-mail on his blocked Hotmail account.

So the question is if it's possible to change the e-mail adress for his Steam account?

He can't login into his account because of the code....he can't submit a ticket to the Steam Support because you have to be logged in for that.

Yes, you can!

SPUF Sages suggest that you can just create a temp Gmail account and use that account to create a Steam Support account and create a trouble ticket...

https://support.steampowered.com/newticket.php

Then, you just need to give them evidences that the account belongs to him!

Yeah, the support account is a seperate account. So you can create a new one without problems.

As has been stated , steam accounts and steam support accounts are separate things. You dont log into steam support with your normal steam account details. You have to create a new separate steam support account.

Now when he sends in a ticket to get his email account changed , as his steam account is already flagged by steam guard he will have to provide steam support with proof of purchase etc for for the items on his steam account before support will change the email.

Once he has provided all the needed info ( which they will ask for so no need for me to say what they want here ) they will change the email tied to his account and he will be good to go.

Alright, it's crystal clear so far. He created a ticket and as CDkey he provided his Call of Duty: Black Ops key.

Thanks for the replies so far, guys.
