steam community idea..

Having encountered this situation many times i thought it would be cool to see what you guys think

Quite often i found myself wanting to tell one of my Steam friends about a game deal that's going on, but the only way to tell them is by other means if they're not online. This sort of brings me onto having a posting system to notify steam friends about stuff on their wall, a bit like Facebook- but for games and stuff. This would require a notification system, like when someone adds you because i noticed that someone once wrote on my wall, and only discovered it on the same day by coincidence. This isn't anything huge, just something that would enhance the ease of the Steam community. Tell me what you think!
