Does retail version register on STEAM?

I live in Canada so my ISP caps my bandwidth at 100 GB, so I'm buying retail. If I buy retail can i register the cdkey on steam?

Dead Island is a Steamworks title. You have no chance to play it without STEAM, so yes to your question.

btw: Here's a list of all Games that can be registered through Steam (I know Dead Island is not yet mentioned there, but it will after it's released)

I'm excited for this game, and red orchestra 2, both of them will hopefully be realistic ^^

Red Orchestra 2 is a realistic game, but are you really expecting this to be a realistic game? Didn't you see any videos or "reviews" so far?

To save your money, it's NOT a realistic game, not even near it.

It's about zombies. Zombies =/= realism.

If you want realism, buy "sitting-on-a-park-bench" simulator.
