Catalyst 11.7 or 11.8

Has the fps drops on Havana cracked Berlin wall any long line of sight been fixed with the amd 11.7 or 11.8 pre drivers or if you have an earlier version . I have 11.2 and get fps drops does anybody have a driver version which fixes it., please don't give me specification bull♥♥♥♥ talk my comp is more then required

I don't know what card you have but i'm using a 6850 and ccc version 10.10 helped me.
ps. you should just post your specs anyway just so we know.

Amd phenom 980 3.7 Ghz 8th DDR3 ram windows 7 and windows xp (runs litle better on xp) 750gb HD
XFX AMD 6850 with approximately 30% overclock. 23 inch 1080p 60hz monitor


I can run bad company 2 and mw2 fine !! I heard that 11.8 fixes fps drop cany anyone confirm

I'm gonna try 10.10 but it's really stupid that I have 2 roll back almost a year worth of graphic drivers advancement .. I'm gonna buy a gtx 570 soon cuz I'm done with this catalyst bull♥♥♥♥ drivers

The grass is always greener. I have certainly had my share of problems with ATI drivers, but Nvidia has their own issues.

I've noticed the FoV is different in those two screenshots. FoV is the single biggest tweak that affects framerate. It makes me wonder what other variables might be different between your two tests. Please redo with the exact same graphical options. Thanks.

When I did the tests I let the game create a new config both times and used notepad++ compare plugin to change settings so they matched. The fov difference you can "see" is just me standing a little further back in the 11.7 screenshot but that should not make a 20fps difference.

Ah, I guess your tests are valid then. I'm surprised there has been such a big performance regression in BO between 10.10 and 11.7, especially since you have a 6xxx card. I have the same card and might now consider switching to 10.10 to get the game to run better. Do you also have figures for the 11.8 driver?

Whats your fps, low high and avg?

You and I have almost the same setup but I dont have issues with fps drops and im running at 4320x800

Sorry no I didn't bother to test with 11.8 because with all the other 11.X drivers the fps was pretty much the same as 11.7.

im still using the 10.5a drivers from last year when i had loading issues with bfbc2.
i dont have any problems whatsoever with this game.
sometimes there is NO point in updating every single thing you have on your computer.
direct x has never been updated, video drivers still last years, windows updates are off etc.
downgrade your drivers, dont update.
