Skyrim is out?

Steam never makes forums for games available till after games launched and people are playing so Skyrim must be out already O_O thought it was still a month or 2 off

Don't know where you got that idea from.

Plenty of games have a dedicated forum section before they're released.
To name a few:
RAGE
Dead Island
Space Marine
Renegade Ops
Nuclear Dawn
EDGE

From steam themselves, when I asked in a support ticket why a game that was already out at retail and was due to unlock on steam later that day but had no forum.

Several games get forums before release (like the ones listed). Several other games have not gotten forums until after their release.

You must have misunderstood whatever they were saying. Games don't necessarily have to be released, to get their subforum on SPUF.

They will sometimes create a forum early if enough people request it. There was a 'Please give us a Skyrim forum' request thread in the general forum so somebody at Valve was kind to us

Not to mention they probably got a bit fed up of all the Skyrim threads that were being created at the time in the general forum as well.
