Pointless? it's a 40 minute gameplay video that shows off combat, ai, dialogue, graphics, inventory, skills, dragons!.
It's "teaser" if you want, of what the game is going to be like. Watching videos like these is going to help alot of people to decide if they want to spend their moneyz on it or not. I rather enjoyed it myself

I saw this on /v/ about an hour ago and there's been nothing but hate.

Graphics? They look great. Not everyone requires modded Crysis-tier graphics to enjoy a game.

Combat? Very similar to other Bethesda RPG's. If you like it, you like it. If you don't, you don't.

Scripted demo? Of course it was. How else would they manage to show off as many features as possible in a small amount of time?

Easy difficulty? Once again, of course. They have to be able to show off the game without wasting time on dying and redoing things.

Terrible UI? Looked fine to me. It has to be easily accessible on both consoles and PC and it looked like it'll work fine.

All in all, looks like a very fun game.

Or we just wait for Bethesda to upload an HD version of the video like they said they're going to.
