Visa gift cards?

Could visa gift cards you buy in stores work as a credit/debit card to buy games off of steam?

I just spent $20 off of mine literally 2 minutes ago. Yup. I have a $25 Visa Gift Card.

I used Paypal, but I don't think it matters.

You may have to register the card with the same info you have in Steam. Card will say what site you register at, i.e: www.giftcardstore.ca

You won't have to register it. I use them all the times as I receive them as gifts a lot. Visa are one of the companies that doesn't make you register.

Haha, yes, Portal looks beast. Hopefully I can get Portal 2 after I beat this one.
And you should wait until Elders Scrolls V comes out. Oblivion is IV. V comes out sometime this year, November?

Yeah, 11/11/11. But I am getting that for my Xbox 360...I really LOVEEE Oblivion, and it will make these 3 months fly. Anyone know when it goes on sale again?

Just be very careful with a Visa giftcard. If it isn't re-loadable, make sure EXTRA carefully (as in, more than you normally should with things) that you don't go over your spending limit with Steam.

Vanilla visa debt cards don't work online.
I've always had problems with them

All the other debt visa/master giftcards work fine.
