I have that problem too. You have to add Patrician3.exe to the Data Execution Prevention exception list.
This is for Vista and Windows 7 You have to right click on computer and go down to Properties. Find Advanced system settings. You should be on the Advanced tab. Go down to the Performance area and click on settings. Click on the Data Execution Prevention tab. Make sure you select "Turn on DEP for all programs and services except those I select" Then you add the Patrician3.exe. The Patrician3.exe should be in your Steam folder. Every time I try, I'm getting

Also, for what it's worth, there's no "P2Setup.exe" on my computer at all. There's a P3Setup, mind you, but no P2. This is depressing, this game really struck me as something I'd want to play. |

Hi there,
I have the same problem and above solution didn't fix it. Any other recommendations? I would really like to play this one EDIT: I just fixed it. I re-checked all tests from the PS3setup.exe and ran the patrician3.exe in Windows XP compability mode and for once it actually solved the issue WIn 7 64bit here with a GeForce GTX 570. Hope this helps! All the best, Last edited by Bererengar: 05-26-2012 at 03:18 PM. |

In order to get the test to work you have to add the p3setup.exe to your DEP list. Hope that helps.

Nope... I have "Patrician 2 Gold Edition". It is P-2 + the Add On "Rise of the Hanse" which was selled out of germany as P-3
![]() OK, but i have the same error.. See the intro video, after that nothing.. Task manager says "No response, game stopped". I've tried out all what i read her, plus some tips i read in the readme. Windows report says that the problem comes from the acman.exe. It is an executable file in a separat folder. I can set the executables only to W-XP SP-2, because i have Vista 32. The joke is, P-2 Gold runs some years ago on this PC.. End of the story is, i have bought P-IV
