Can't launch - "couldn't write a file"

I cannot launch Call of Duty 1 SP. When I try to launch I get a file write error. "Call of Duty couldn't write a file. The hard drive is probably full."

My hard drive has tons of space. How do I fix this?

try this
http://www.dlldll.com/atioglxx.dll_download.html, extract the atioglxx.dll and place it into the Call of duty 1 folder, and game should run but u wont be able to change settings
