Rise of the Samurai DLC campaign -available now

Hi everyone,

We’re pleased to announce a brand new downloadable campaign for Total War: Shogun 2, which is available for digital download right now http://store.steampowered.com/app/34344/?snr=1_4_4__13

Set 400 years before the Sengoku period depicted in Shogun 2, Rise of the Samurai pits you as the leader of one of six playable clans from the Taira, Minamoto and Fujiwara families. This conflict, the Gempei War, culminated in the first Shogun’s rise to power, and the consolidation of the Samurai as the ruling class.

The downloadable content brings with it a new campaign, which can be played in single and multiplayer modes. The six new clans bring with them their own unique traits, and between them will have sixteen new land units and ten new naval units.

On top of that, there are four new hero units, including the Tetsubo Warrior Monk Hero, armed with brutal studded clubs, and the deadly female Onna Bushi Heroine. There are also four new agent types, each with their own skill trees. From the seductress Shirabyoshi to the shrewd and zealous Junsatsushi Inspectors, each offers a new campaign experience.

So to sum up :-

Rise of the Samurai – downloadable campaign

• New campaign (The Gempei War)
• 6 new clans from 3 legendary families
• 16 new land units
• 10 new naval units
• 4 new hero units
• 4 new agent types
• 10 new mons, 10 new retainers

why dont the show the exact date for the dlc but they show the exact date for every other game!

Seriously can we get an expected date for this DLC's launch? September is already two days old, so that's not really cutting it anymore.

At least September only has 30 days instead of 31 days.

It might be 7-8. of Semptember because in Steam's coming soon list it is between game what is published in 7th day and call of juarez what is published in 8th day

Will this have new videos for the geisha and ninja equivalent?

I hope so but doubt it, since i swear I didn't get any "intro" video for the Jidai units either.

Ever think that the reason may be because they don't know exactly when it will be finished? I'm sure if they knew a hard date they'd say so.

Well, its getting on my nerves now. They can at least tell us a rough date of release cause they said september so they're close to finishing it already i assume and if not let them say so too!!

Edit; And i've pre-purchased this pack aswell, dont have i the rights to know when my ordered product is coming??

When it's ready. Even CA may not know, there are many people that need to sign off on it before it goes live.

Sure, easy said "When it's ready"... Thats no excuse man, its the same you buy a car and not knowing when you will get to drive it cause it 'will be ready when it is'? Is that how loyal customers get treated?
The campaign would be available FROM September, we're already a week in September. The so-called 'update-thread' hasn't been touched for 2 weeks now so what the heck is going on??

The game must be released 7th or 8th September otherwise it means that Steam or SEGA doesn't behave in a fair way. Changing release date of a game avaible for preorder is really a bad thing.

Steam has yet to put a date for it. All of you people are ASSUMING it's that date due to it's placement on the coming soon list. Since they haven't put an exact date on the page, don't assume that it's the 7th or 8th. Just wait for an official announcement of the date by Creative Assembly.
