Call of Duty: Launch problem/ -error ''CoDSP.exe''

Hi!

I've just bought the ''Call of Duty®: War Chest'' and have been playing for an hour or so but later after having to restart my computer and re-launched the game ''Call of Duty'' it simply won't start?
It says that ''CoDSP.exe'' have encountered a problem and therefore can not run?

I've tried to reinstall the game several times, checked for new updates manually (game/software/drivers) also tried to run the application in XP/Vista mode but without success.

Some minor computer specifications:
Asus P8P67 Deluxe B3 (v1505)
Corsair Vengeance™ 8GB DDR3 @ 1600MHz
Intel Core i7-2600k @ 4GHz
XFX Radeon HD6970 (11.8) @ 940/1440/+10%
Microsoft Windows 7: Home Premium 64

Feel free to help me out, any help at all is much appreciated!

I finally worked around this problem, by simply following these steps:

#1 Restart your computer.
#2 Start the game directly from Steam (not the desktop shortcut).
#3 Run the game in safe-mode.
#4 Re-edit your games settings.
#5 Exit the game.
#6 Relaunch the game - enjoy!

i believe this is the right link, http://www.dlldll.com/atioglxx.dll_download.html, extract the atioglxx.dll and place it into the Call of duty 1 folder, and game should run but u wont be able to change settings
