Server List Not Working on MAC- HELP!

Tried downloading the file the devs said- saved it to /library/application support/steam/config - and it didnt work. I cant browse for servers, I am solely reliant on what friends are playing or what my server history is - and unfortunately, all of the servers are empty (at least right now)! Can someone please help me fix this for the Mac! Thank you!

fixed- deleted all master server files and restarted steam. didnt put anything into the config folders.

I'm on a Mac and it didn't work for me, but THIS will:

https://support.steampowered.com/kb_...1452-HCVB-6984 Download both those, throw in Steam/config then restart steam.
