Can someone summarize the hostility from the developer towards Steam?

Please stay civil. I just want to know why exactly the developers seem to be very condescending towards Steam.

Whatever the cause is, us the legitimate consumers are stuck in the middle.. which is very unfortunate.

What exactly happened? And who is doing all these sales if the Developer hates Steam?

This is what im talking about - http://www.sigma-team.net/forum/view...php?f=5&t=7488

Wow I didn't know that. Isn't Sigma Team an Indie studio? I also wonder who has released their game on Steam if that dude hates it so much...

He's just a lowly moderator so he might not even be part of the studio. Just an idiot fan/friend who's always butthurt about something.

They should dump him though because he doesn't make me want to support that studio simply by his association with them, however trivial it may be in the end.

If this is true, that is the most idiot moderator ever.
But that doesn´t explain why the word STEAM is censured in their forum.

Well, if it will start something off... I'll start by saying that although the game looks like something I'd want to try(It reminds me of Crusader: No Remorse/No Regret), after seeing the way a customer gets treated just for asking a question about a game you bought from them simply because they didn't like where you bought it from, I don't think I'm even going to get it on sale, much less regular price.

Edit: He also locked the thread.

Edit 2: That guy also takes apologies, stickies them and posts them up as announcements as a testament to his gigantic ego.

Browsing that board it is clear that the actual employees are marked as such. What you have there is a bad moderator going nuts on a relatively low traffic board.

I was on the fence for buying the bundle, but after seeing how that developers forum is handled, I'll just pass the deal and all other games from that developer.

With moderators like that they will probably lose more customers.

A buyer praise Zombie shooter 2, look at the answer from that moderator.

The fact that they allow it speaks volumes.

I was going to buy the pack but now I'm just going to avoid everything from them entirely. I'd hate to have to go to that forum for support and it shows two things:

The dev team consists of idiots
The dev team is oblivious to what happens in its own forum

Neither speak well for them. Moderator or not, they're letting him be the face of their company. Someone who acts like they're 12.

and he can't spell, that says a lot about a company, I was on the fence, the games look fun, but let's be honest, I got another 10 or so games on steam still waiting to be played...

I also like that thread, hidden insults for buying from Steam and the thread is locked so that the original poster is unable to post if he got an answer to his problem.

Well, given that attitude I don't need to download the demo.

That's one horrible awful moderator there Sigma-Team has representing them. They treat Steam-Users as low-life, and even censor the word "Steam" on their forums. To people who buy Sigma games outside of the Sigma site (such as Steam), they tend to reply with some thinly-veiled insult or sarcastic remark when people ask questions or for help then they lock the topics.

I usually like to support indie Developers, but due to the very poor attitude I see displayed on Sigma's forums by their own Moderators / Representatives, I won't be buying any of their games no matter how good they look.

He even says, that he's not sure if they support the games bought at Steam.

If you have explored the Sigma website you must see the menu CONTACT...TEC SUPPORT ... but I do not know if they support game from other place you may buy from

I found the Sigma forums full of unintentional humor. So much drama. Thanks for the laughs.
