Random VAC Bans

Okay, today I went into a Half-Life 2: Deathmatch server and It gave me this message:

"You cannot connect to the selected server, because it is running in VAC (Valve Anti-Cheat) secure mode.
This Steam account has been banned from secure servers due to a cheating infraction."

I did not cheat in any way, so I was banned for nothing.

A few of my Steam friends think that there are hackers going around hacking accounts, getting peoples info, and VAC banning them. If this is the case then this is some major BS. Anybody else getting banned for No Reason? Is there a way that I can get Un-VAC banned?

Unfortunately, as many here will tell you, VAC bans are permanent and there is no way to have your account unbanned. You can send support a ticket but it probably won't do you any good. Support will just tell you if the VAC ban is legitimate.

If you really didn't cheat, change all your passwords and scan your computer for viruses. Lastly, make sure you activated Steam Guard.

Even if you did have your account hijacked they will not lift the ban. If you want to play the game again you have to set up another account and buy it again.

Read this for more information: https://support.steampowered.com/kb_...4044-QDHJ-5691

since your playing HL2: DM its the probally biggest cheat game ever made after they made it free on nVIDEA and ATI offer. you cheated, got banned and now you headed towards the forum telling us you didnt cheat.

take it as a man. its only HL2: DM. and it can be installed over and over and over and over and over again on different accounts with different Emails.

Why are you even posting here? Here in the forum that all you will get is "oh you cheated - you got what you desreved!" from????

If you didn't cheat - contact support and ask them if its legit. If you did and you are just pretending and posting here to get sympathy - it's not what the forum needs.

It would require a few things

The port scan would have to take advantage of a RPC vulnerability that could be used to execute remote commands.

Said computer would have to be out of date on patches

Said computer would have no not be behind a router

You could then in theory steal the firefox password or IE password file which 'might' contain your steam account.

I'm fairly sure said "hack tool" will actually be a keylogger / password stealer.

VAC bans are not random, only the delay is.

Contact support if you think your ban is unjust. (Requires the registration of a separate support account, responses can take up to 3 to 4 days)

Maybe you used cheats and you didn't disable the cheats... I don't know.

Thumbs down

It dose not matter it was an accident they will ban you you can win.

Even if you said it wasn't me they will just say the same thing "are VAC stats say that a cheating infection happens we will not un-lift bans"

I am not being mean but that what will happen!
