And for the love of god, don't forget to verify the integrity of the game cache before you play online again. |

Vac bans for Known cheats, and adding .exe or .dll or maybe editing them.
You can ask here http://forums.steampowered.com/forum...splay.php?f=35 |

ok we must first disable vac ingame
then if there is like a patch we must would reset vac to enabled we maybe in trouble so if there is a patch we must verify the cache to lose all our changes before we start the game so that when it runs and vac runs non of the changes trigger vac wow this is tricky and very limited in who you want doing this sort of stuff since most people will eventually forget / slip and then its game over, auto vac band maybe we should kill this thread before anyone get banned... |

Just tested the FOV fix with hex editing and it worked! 90 is a bit high for my 1680x1050 screen, so i put it to 85 for now. Used HxD for hex editing, notepad++ for the fov editing.

wow that is amazing, i may be able to finally play the game ![]() i can't describe how ill it makes me feel, my head is like exploding, throbbing, almost makes me bed ridden for the night. 62 fov is not something i can use. i just dont know what genetic defect causes it, but i got it ![]() ok so we must disable auto update disable vac in game we must edit said dll we must edit said settings file in data0.pack and then we should be someome what safe is it ok to play multiplayer with others vac disabled, it the game allows it if so we are set just have to keep in mind that vac must never be enabled so if any update we must first verify cache to lose our changes and then do the update and then reapplay our above change from scratch not tottally bad. hopefully the developer will help is will have a config file thing we can it instead of us having to change some dll and then change some file in some pack file. now onto bloom and blur, blur really gives me a head ache too and bloom hurts my eyes ![]() after that we can retired, unless someone has something else interesting to change, like off with the bikinis, just joking ![]() oh forgot lets add mouse accelleration and smoothing, got to get rid of that cr*p, who adds these things anyway... why did they even come up with such ♥♥♥♥ Last edited by oldbrokenlink: 09-07-2011 at 10:14 PM. |

Yeah unfortunately with the FOV up, you see your arms (in first person) and the weird ♥♥♥ animations that they make. Its a bit awkward but it's definitely worth it. 85 might be a bit too much too.

i can live with that play single player at least it may give the developer a chance to add it as some config file change that we can safely edit i'm guessing when ro:hos / bf3 beta comes out, we are all gone anyways

Can anyone confirm whether it's alright to play multiplayer with other people who also have VAC disabled?

backup all files before changing disable auto update disable vac ingame set game to single player (never play multiplayer) in the hex editor open engine_x86_rwdi.dll you have to go to offset 0x17134E then starting at the above offset to offset 0x171354 change what is there to E9 8F 02 00 00 90 then extract Data\Skills\default_levels.xml from Data0.pack and change <prop n="CameraDefaultFOV" v="62.5"/> to <prop n="CameraDefaultFOV" v="85.0"/> or some other number then put default_levels.xml at Data\Skills\ in Data0.pack if before any update, enabling vac, playing multiplayer, ect you must veryify your game cache and revert all changes, that means you will lose all the above changes each patch you must manually put it back in just in case i missed something you may want to read all postings in this thread before doing so only do once you know what you are in for and are very very very absolutely sure you know what you are doing and know it's full sad consequences... |

change the bytes from 0x17134E to 0x171354 in engine_x86_rwdi.dll to "E9 8F 02 00 00 90" so on the left side of the screen, it will show values like 0017134, then move to the right of that value and find the column that corresponds to "0E" and start changing the values all the way up to the next line under column 03 (where the last value is input) |

just in case anyone likes to know the
E9 8F 02 00 00 90 if i am correct and its the code section of the dll that we are patching well, in x86 instruction set E9 is a jump (JMP) and 90 is a do nothing (NOP) so you see this is very low level stuff, rocket science... Last edited by oldbrokenlink: 09-07-2011 at 10:53 PM. |
