Demo Console Commands

Hey guys,

I dumped a list of the console commands that are available in the demo. If you are interested go here:

http://pastebin.com/WqepYB7z

I'm not 100% sure if its a complete list...

Oh and you press ctrl+~ to open the console.

enjoy

Very nice. I was playing around with the game files and discovered it is technically possible to mod the game. Unfortunately, they put multiple encryptions on the data files. The first step, actually opening and extracting the data archives, was easy to bypass. Someone smarter than me will have to figure out how to unpack the individual files for reading and repacking into the game as a mod.

"r_fov - Vertical field of view" does this somehow allows us to change our FOV?

You can try, but it doesn't look like 99% of the commands work in the demo. There's options to turn off blur and other post processing effects, but I don't see a change even after doing vid_restart.

It would, but when I tried it out earlier it said that command was readonly. Go figure. But the default value is 65 (VERTICAL).... which is what? around 100 FOV horizontal at 1920x1080? not too bad personally

Ok cheers, FOV in Hard Reset is indeed pretty good but it's always nice to have the option to change it.

I think the defualt is at 90, try adding a larger number like 120 into your config.

65 is the vertical FOV. This means the horizontal FOV is about 97.

This is the best way to do it, all the game has to is keep track of the top-to-bottom FOV, that way the FOV from side to side will get as wide as it needs to automatically based on the shape of your screen. (Especially useful if you have a monitor that's even wider than 16:9).

Simple password protected zip files. Just unpack, change content and pack again. Example:

I was surprised how easy it was to find 27-character password.

Also, kinda nice feeling when see Polish names in files of such good game, like this "_reklamy_output.dds"...

Well? What password did you find? Because what I came up with still leaves the files encrypted after extracting.
