That video was hilarious, but comparing SR2 to GTA4 is like comparing fan fiction to War and Peace. Saints Row is pure amateur hour when comparing graphics, controls and gameplay.

They dropped the ball for GTA 4 in some ways. Mostly its humour. There was a huge fad of "realism" in 2008. Thank god that's over for now.

saints row always had better controls, and it's movement system is much quicker/responsive Taking a good amount of time just to turn or get into a sprint for realistic purposes is pretty stupid What do you mean by gameplay? GTA has a solid story, the gameplay itself is pretty slow paced and dull, saints row has much better gameplay |

I have to admit that the only thing that kept me playing GTAIV after beating the story was the ragdoll physics, and to some extent, figuring out interesting ways to die with friends in multiplayer.
Saints Row though was an entirely different beast. I played it with my brother and we had a hard time doing the story missions, we kept having a blast just messing around. That's really the big difference; GTA is becoming a story-centric game with an incidental sandbox, and Saints Row is a full-featured sandbox with an incidental story. |
