Horrible FOV

I don't know if the FOV can be fixed like Dead Island was because they use the same engine (different revisions).

But when I played this game the FOV was one of the worst I have ever seen and I could not play it even though I wanted too badly.

I did spend time with the cool included map editor though.

Edit: I was talking about Bound in Blood.

You couldn't play due to the FOV? I think you're just being whiny and complaining. The game is very playable.

The FOV is really bad, it's like 50-60. Maybe you don't see the difference, but on widescreen monitor the game looks quite strange.

Unfortunately it looks like there is no working fix

Would have loved to play this myself. Bought it in a previous sale, but the FOV is so horrible I can't

I'm not aware of any fix for it despite searching quite extensively.

Just because it isn't ideal doesn't mean it's unplayable, though. My monitor is 1920x1080 and it's far from unplayable.

Some people experience vertigo when playing a game with limited FOV. Stop being so petty.

Yes it is. And you must have some fisheye for it to not bother you.
Let me explain the difference between "not ideal" and unplayable"
A FoV of 70 is not ideal, but can still work. A FoV of 57 (which is what this game's FoV is) on the other hand... Well you do the math.
Unless, of course, you're sitting like 2 meters away from your monitor. In that case it shouldn't be a problem at all.

The FOV is all wrong in my system (eyefinity 5920x1080)... I guess it might be bad even for a single 1920x1080 monitor.

I am looking for a way to fix it, setting it to 90 to 120 will do the trick

Ok, the game is unplayable... but not only because of the WRONG FOV but because audio isn't working.

I just get distorted noise on the lateral channel (speaker), and after a while it just quits and goes silence.

It's a shame...

following various links found on this forums i found this link: http://www.reddit.com/r/gaming/comme...sland_fov_fix/

worked great for me. i recommend 77-82.5 FOV max. 82.5 looked OK but even it had some gun models that didnt look right. anything over 82.5 really starts to show gun models poorly. i wouldnt even botrher with 90-95, unfortunately.

i bought BiB, loved the game, but the FOV literally gave me a headache and made me nausous.

I dont understand what is so difficult about adding an FOV setting; it should take a moderately competent programmer about 5min to implement.

All those who are concerned about bad FOV on PC (I am too). Watch those below

That narrow FOV makes sense on consoles, and it does not on PC. This is pure laziness of developers.

You can tweak the FOV using the info from this post using a change I made.

I hate big FOVs, everything looks stretchy at the sides.
