Red face Red Orchestra 2 Server?

Is it not possible to create a server in Red Orchestra 2? I noticed you can search for lan games but what's the point if no one at your house can create a server?

Anyone capable can setup a server with RO2. (Its in the game's main menu)

Public Dedicated Servers and a robust SDK are part of RO2.

I'm sorry, I "thought" the selection was there. Like you, I could not find it.

There is no option to launch a listen or dedicated server from within game. It can be done with some console commands but it is not supported a this time.

As DMasterST linked to, those are the directions to set up a Dedicated Server.

No, they can't, at least not from any menu.

(Emphasis mine) Now that is a hilarious statement.

You best bet OP is to ignore uniformed posts and head to the TWI forum / wiki. Both have abundant information on how to setup servers, difficulty is comparable to most mainstream PC games with such facilities.

If you are not hosting on a machine on the backbone, pay particular attention to bandwidth needs.

Rob

Edit - I see link was posted to wiki earlier. That's your best source ATM.
