Benjamin318's Dead Island Better Resolution and Texture Mod

Hi all I have majorly improved my texture modding, and I'm releasing a new mod that is 100% better then my Previous mod Benjamin318's Dead Island HD Texture Mod. (which turned out to be not so great) Please go to http://www.strategyinformer.com to get it! Its called "Benjamin318's Enhanced texture mod" I have re-textured almost everything in the first map including the rocks,wood,sand,plants,trees,some walls,paths,roads and some roofs. Now this mod is not SuperCrazyInsane HD textures, but its a start. Makes the game have more "life" to it, and considering the fact that this game is based in a tropical land (in the beginning at least)and that the infection has just started spreading throughout that land. WHY DOES EVERYTHING LOOK SO DAMAGED AND OLD? O.o it doesn't really make much sense.

Download these too, they are updated textures that replace some of the mods old textures, just copy and replace the old texture files with these.

Nice that you realized the limitations of your first mod and are back with a better attempt. I'll definitely check this out when I get the chance.

EDIT: You're mod is not actually on the Strategy Informer site as far as I can see. Why the link?

Also it might be better if you posted some screens, not just the video ...

My mod will be on www.strategyinformer.com, they have not posted it just yet though. there will be pics there along with more info etc.

... took all the pictures and made them into a video because... you wanted to force bad music down our throats?

also its not very good. now the colours are off. the floorboards are too big. and you reused the same floorboards for wood steps. they also do not connect very well at many points and just out of place in the game world.

that's because there is only one texture for the floorboards and the stairs, its the same texture. any other complaints?

what are you talking about? O.o yes my old mod was just sharpened textures but this one is different because Ive used better new textures instead of the old ones.

I am reverting to the 72 .tpf files, because this other version is making my mod look a lot worse then it is with the original 8 .tpf files. its really screwing up the colors of the textures, especially the wood textures.

I will say good effort, I kinda like the newer version of what i see facing the lifeguard station, but most of it seems to be ....alternate textures, as opposed to truely improved textures. Just remember you cant please everyone, im sure a few people will enjoy your mod.
