recuit more for CURRENT unit

I know how to recruit new units, but how do I get units with missing guys back up ot full? Or cant I? Say i have my spearmen with 6 of 10 how do i recruit those missing 4 back in?

I am quite enjoying the game, been ages sicne i did turn based. But the majore battles are a bit... hard. Playing on hard the second scenerio to kil the thief prince (or whatever) i clear a path to him but as soon as I attack they come out from all sides, i have no problem winning.. but by the end my Units are missing several men.

Or is that the key im missing? this game makes you disband and buy a complete new unit so keeping them alive is key if you want to keep the perks?
