New Vegas : Currently unavailable??????

I keep getting a message that the game is currently unavailable when I try to launch it in steam. I have tried uninstalling it and putting the disc in to try and re install it. Every time it comes up with a message that steam servers are too busy. Any help would be appreciated?

I've run into that before and the only thing that seemed to fix it was simply waiting a bit and then trying again.
