Cannot enter volcano after Conductorque

The battle finished, there are no enemies, but I cannot enter the volcano. The wrench icon activates over the volcano door, but clicking does nothing.

I exited the game and came back in from a casino outhouse, tried again. When I enter the room the music plays, but the battle does not run again. Still cannot enter the volcano.

The hints log is telling me to go destroy the thong.

I too, was very frustrated with this particular boss fight. I found that sometimes I had to click in various spots with the wrench symbol showing in order to move on. I hope this helps?

No, never got past it. Went back and tried a couple times, moved on to other games.
