was portal 2 ever free?

just wondering.
side thing.if anyone would trade a gift copy of portal 2 to me for my buds let me know.

Very unsure as to why anyone would have a spare copy of Portal 2 willing to give away for FREE.. it sounds criminally insane.

im askingf if portal 2 was ever free on steam. like a celebratort weekend after it was released and went to nuymber one or something.
then i was sasking if anyone would trade a copy of portal 2 to me for the earbuds in tf2.

I am totally ticked that DLC not being release before May 1st. I think Valve should give everyone their money back because plus a free copy of Portal 2, plus a free copy of L4D2, plus a Youtube video of Gabe Newell admitting that is hates all PC gamers in the Universe, and has turned to the dark side and become a console gamer playing the Wii.
