Free DLC?

The devs have promised DLC but I have no idea if it's free or paid. Does anyone know?

I expect it'll cost or they would have explicitly said it'll be free. I don't know for sure though. I suppose it's possible that revenue from sales, if they sell enough, could finance development of free DLC. Dunno.

They should release an SDK, I dunno any info on that. However, I assume they'll add free DLC. I think they'll have enough sales for some free maps.

They announced that on the games release, they are going to release 2 more heists with other stuff they haven't mentioned yet, completely free. Hopefully they keep to that.

Take out parts of your original game to sell later on. Ah, progress.

These maps that are fully playable in the following trailer will be released a few months after the game's initial release. Unlock them early by paying us 15$.
Really, it's the kind of thing most developers do nowadays.

I know where ya coming from, mate. Though the stuff Overkill makes for DLC could as well be stuff they began to make after the game went gold, guess we'll see what its about when its announced / released 'eh?

Here's what I expect, if they were to take inspiration from L4D/2, and Killing Floor

Aesthetic stuff should cost. Different characters/masks/suits should cost a dollar or two.

Maps/content update shouldn't cost. This is a DL title, and they'll attract a bigger audience if you don't have to pay for a handful of maps.

If a game isn't released yet, and the DLC is done the same day as the game and being held for post-release... yeah that's stuff that should have been in the game. If they release it down the road for it and it's bonus content they came up with after the fact, that's real DLC. If it's something that should have been in to begin with it's a patch they are too shamed to admit.

If you honestly believe in your heart of hearts COMPANIES have no vested interest in holding back content to make more money down the road, so be it. Also; enjoy my eBay listing for a bridge.

Well, at least the coregame is cheap at release.
Most companies would sell you an unfinished game for a normal price AND charge for the DLCs.
I'm totally fine with 6 heists being in the game and new ones cost money.
So you can decide if you go for a full price and add DLCs to reach the price of todays release prices.

It's just a matter of how much those DLCs will cost and of course would be nice if they toss at least some free ones in between.
