try to use your barricades to funnel them all into one street then blow them all up. You can also use your bait to bring back any straglers.

Barricades to funnel them, mines to thin out the herd, dynamite to nibble off chunks, and artillery to catch the ones that tried to escape your kill zone.

The trick is to use your mines and explosives early, when the buildings are still acting as funnels. Once you collapsed the buildings the zeds will spread out and you'll have a hard time catching them with just artillery.

Bait can help you concentrate the herd. One possibility is when you get three long "corridors, use explosives early on (near the entrances) to open gaps in the buildings so the three herds can unite early on, esp. when you use bait, so you can really pound them with artillery.
