major advancement? Its just cheaper SF 2000 lol.

$250 for 180GB is a great price though.

$800 for 480GB is not so great though. But it makes your E-Peen massive with girth.

I bought a 40gb SSd to use as a large flashdrive. Works well and it's actually lightweight

A great price would be 1$=1GB.. Awesome price would be half that. This is still pretty expensive for how little space you get.

yeah, when you compare it to HDDs. Since that would be crazy, Im doing what most people would do and comparing it to current Sandforce SSD prices.

I question for the experts here: are SSD disks noticeable faster and will I actually see a visible difference in writing/reading speeds, or is it just a "scam" for less educated people?

when it said affordable i was kind of hoping the 480gb would be around 90-100 and the 250 at around 50
