Images or formatted text on steam comments?
So I was looking into a guy profile and I found somebody that managed to post this:
█░░░░░█░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░█░█▀▀█ █░█▀█░█░░█░█░░█▀█▀█░█▀▀█░█▀▀█░░░░█ █░█░█░█░░█░█░░█░█░█░█▀▀█░█░░█░░▀▀▀ ▀░▀▀▀░▀░░▀▀▀░░▀░░░▀░▀░░▀░▀▀▀▀░░█░░ Yeah I know it looks funny but also other day I saw other dude posting a image with that format. So how they do that? There's a website that helps you to build the format? Does anybody knows how to? |

They aren't hard to make, at least I don't think so. I just make them from scratch, I don't use any website to help.

Yeah but how, there aren't any guides or anything, besides I don't see a button to make that format.

Searching Google for "ascii banners" gets you some sites which will make banners like you're describing here.

Oh Mike don't encourage them! We really need more 'LOLTRAINZ' running down the profiles? :P

Thanks for the replies guys, but there is a problem:
It doesn't work copying and pasting the text into the comments sections nor the own profile, since the text somehow is screwed It ends like this: _ _____ _ _ ____ / \ /|/ __// \ / \ / _ \ | |_||| \ | | | | | / \| | | ||| /_ | |_/\| |_/\| \_/| \_/ \|\____\\____/\____/\____/ When it should have been like this: (Lol, the example is also broken, why?) _ _____ _ _ ____ / \ /|/ __// \ / \ / _ \ | |_||| \ | | | | | / \| | | ||| /_ | |_/\| |_/\| \_/| \_/ \|\____\\____/\____/\____/ Don't really know how to fix that? Or I am missing something? Edit: Somehow the same happens here, dunno why, seems that the forum also format the thingy, any way to override that? Last edited by Sjru: 10-12-2011 at 10:00 AM. |

You should try ASCII Text Art using specific fonts or Symbols. See this link. You have there all you need: explanations, examples, generators, etc.
Good luck with your new cool STEAM Community profile! ![]() ┏━━━┓╋╋╋┏┓ ┃┏━┓┃╋╋╋┃┃ ┃┃╋┃┣┓╋┏┫┃┏━━┓™ ┃┗━┛┃┃╋┃┃┃┃┏┓┃ ┃┏━┓┃┗━┛┃┗┫┏┓┃ ┗┛╋┗┻━┓┏┻━┻┛┗┛ ╋╋╋╋┏━┛┃ ╋╋╋╋┗━━┛ |

Thanks, that worked like a charm.
I guess the key is to use short sentences, still I'm thrilled to guess how some people actually manage to draw images. Guess they make that by hand? |
