Arrow Titan quest demo NOT working

ive been reading good reviews.

good gameplay footage on youtube.

and of course the 500MB demo refuses to work. potential loss of sales could be great any mod comment on this?

not much activity on the TQ forums so i decide to post here.

The full game has never worked for me on Win7-64bit, either (same situation on my fiancee's box). I had played it when it came out originally (long before Win7), and then picked up another copy here on Steam, maybe a year back. Tried pretty much everything, but eventually gave up.

The demo is very unrepresentative of the full game with fan patch anyway.

Fan patch? Would this be installed after Immortal Throne?

The Steam demo would be more convenient, but you guys should figure out how to use Google

Steam demo failed to work for myself either with Windows 7 (x64). Sadly, I will not be making a purchase until I can play the demo.

bought the Gold Edition on Steam a while ago (during the 2010 Holiday Sale, i think) and it's been working flawlessly on my W7x64 PC ever since. no fan patch or other modifications installed.

i think i tried the demo before purchasing and it worked as well.

The demo is known to have problems, but it's another one of those things THQ wasn't interested in paying the developer to fix.

The GAME is rock solid in Win7x64.

I've had no issues running the full game on Win7 x64.

The demo is likely based on the original, unpatched version of the game. Companies rarely update demos after they've been released unfortunately.

Not on our two computers (both are fairly similar, but not really unusual -- GTS 250s, 8 GB, 2.6 duos, etc.), and reading the TQ forum that is a problem shared by others, as well. So if the demo doesn't work for someone, I think it's sensible to be cautious. (Then again, it costs so little now, it's probably worth the risk.)

The demo was never patched. TQ Gold includes a patched Immortal Throne (which includes both the original TQ and Immortal Throne). The patched game runs great (for almost everyone), it's just the demo that can give problems.

It's a great game, and I also suggest installing the Fan Patch (after installing everything else) found at titanquest.net. There's also a really good mod called Underlord if you're interested in that sort of thing.
