This free weekend is moronic

I download this, go into the game, pick a random character, try to start a game that I thought was single player, got thrown into a multiplayer game instead. The game then provides absolutely no guidance on what you I am supposed to do or what the controls even are, so I run around randomly hitting random keys for a few minutes then die apparently. Ctrl-Alt-Dlt, delete local content, bye bye.

This sounds more like a reading problem than a problem with the game.

This is either a troll or a lobotomized vegetable who needs to go back to call of duty on xbox.

you right click to move or shoot things. for advanced manoeuvres you click one of the 3ish skill icons or (PRO users only) press the keyboard key that is shown on top of the skill icons

sorry if this is a bit hard for you

Do free'ers have access to Last Stand? It seems that way. Was with a guy earlier who didn't even bother to equip his starting gear....

If you click multiplayer maybe try to make a custom game and fight the computer first.

It seems the free weekend only gives you The Last Standalone, so you can only play the Last Stand MP mode. For people that want to try the SP mode, don't bother DLing the 4GB.

That's just silly, especially for a RTS, they generally have higher learning curves.

Reading is overrated especially when you don't know what you're doing. Games should be so simplistic that you can instantly jump in and succeed!

lol @ single player being completely disabled in the UI and clicking multiplayer then complaining it's not single player.

In all fairness it does say 'Dawn of War II: Retribution - Free To Play Weekend'

'Free to Play The Last Standalone' would have been more accurate.
