Exclamation The Online Experience! (With Video)

I remember racing online in F1 2010 being a harsh experience at times, especially during the first lap. Being pushed off the track for the first time was already one time too many.

When I got F1 2011 I knew what to expect, and my frame of mind was not to care about winning, but just to have fun and see how well I could do avoiding the inevitable carnage.

If I expected a clean race from the other players, I was setting myself up for dissapointment. Instead, I recorded the first 2 laps of every race knowing I'd have a funny video by the end of the week.

Having your car rolled over by being rammed, was so much easier to deal with knowing I'd have it on youtube. So here it is, 2 hours of recordings from many 3 lap races, squeezed into a 3 minute montage of the most exciting moments.

I tried to race as clean as I could, and I wasnt the only one trying, but we were evidently a minority on the track.

So much terrible driving. Such bad collision physics. Bad lag. Looks like hell.

1.51 my favourite moment. BOOM!

Looks like good wheel to wheel racing sprinkled with a few what they call it racing incidence .

Rammers and dirty racers aside thats what I loved about online play the fact that I was racing against real people who where fallible to mistakes and pressure, instead of computer controlled racers who took the same line lap after lap rarely making a mistake.

They say you have got to be mad to be an F1 driver...it helps to be Scouse as well lol. We are more sedate down in the South West skoops; you ruffians from up north just don't appreciate the finery's of the sport, he he.

Pete.

Surely this is sarcasm. It looks awful.

People should hone their skills in career/grand prix, hell even time trial, before going online. By not doing, they are just wrecking other people's enjoyment in the game.

Don't see how anyone would prefer online to Career tbh.

+1, its really though to get the hang of it and being able to drive clean for a full race. Set damage to 1.8 and you'll definitly start learning to drive clean:P

I've had this too More bumper cars than F1 racing.

Have to say I raced in a few lobbies with all clean drivers except for some bashing because of lag.

That's why most of the time we have friends only races in MP. Play MP and don't take it too serious or you will get frustrated. Good fun though and awesome video there
