Of course they don't need to do much beta testing when they're recycling a game using the same engine. BF3 is using brand new tech and engine so bugs will definitely pop up.

Thing is... EA wasn't really 'testing'. More like gathering feedback which was mostly pointed out at already-fixed things.
So in the end, this is a "null point" or w/e you call it. |
